Rami Kangas

Rami H. Michael Kangas (b. 1972)

Helsinki based artist and media entrepreneur. Kangas focuses on creating collage paintings and soundscapes. He has studied drawing and painting with Ken Andersson and Bob Artley in the US during the late 80’s. He has won several art competitions in the state of Iowa and has held private exhibitions in Helsinki, Finland in the 90’s. Kangas has a Master of Arts degree with cultural and art history and musicology (Turku & Uppsala Universities). He has also studied playing violin.

Kangas designs artwork only by commissions. All the pieces are privately owned. The main technique is acryl on various materials; fabrics, raw canvas, clothes, etc. with geometrical forms – mainly with circles and text on certain matrix.
